32-0: Uncovering the Magic Behind Fleetwood's Unstoppable Run
I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of 32-0 by Jerry Moyer, as I was a senior at a rival high school during Fleetwood High School's dominant run in Pennsylvania soccer. I always wondered how they managed to have so many players who were All-State and Parade All-Americans. After reading this book, I found my answer: Coach Buss. The impact of his leadership is undeniable, and the eight life lessons that conclude the book are invaluable, whether you're in sports, business, or any other field. This book offers a deep dive into what made Fleetwood so extraordinary, and it leaves you with lessons that resonate far beyond the soccer field.

Great Read!
As a Fleetwood High School grad Class of '91 I was well aware of the 1978 and 1980 State Champions, but was not old enough to have my own memories. Jerry has graciously written a concise, enjoyable book detailing his and his teammates experiences on the soccer field filled with triumphs, but also how one pivotal moment would leave a lasting impact to be lesson for all of us here in 2024.
Also front and center is legendary coach Ray Buss, whose coaching and life philosophies are on full display, and led to Jerry's 8 lessons at the end of the book.

Excellent Read :
Life lessons through sport …
“32-0: Lessons from an Undefeated Season”, is a great book that delivers foundational life lessons through the lens of soccer and leadership. It hit close to home reminding me of Neshaminy’s Hal Heffelfinger, another three-time state championship coach who had his battles with Coach Buss. Both coaches represent old-school principles for success, emphasizing timeless values like discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—lessons you learn from the book through Jerry’s personal experience and POV.

Quick, enjoyable, light read
I grew up watching the great Fleetwood HS soccer teams of the 70’s and 80’s play, and man were they ahead of their time. Dominating PA high school soccer before they divided schools up by size, and Fleetwood was a tiny school district. Great 8 lessons that cross over life, sports, work, and relationships. Worth the read, and definitely a good one to share with your children.

A Great Memory!
This is an excellent read, if you want to be successful you really need to read this, being a coach or player. I played for Mr. Buss in the 70’s and everything in this book is to a “T”. Must READ!

A Must-Read for Athletes and Parents Alike!
I ordered *32-0* for my 10-year-old son and me to read together, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The lessons in this book go far beyond the physical aspects of sports, diving into the often unspoken mental side that truly makes champions. My son was so engaged—he read it cover to cover, eager to dissect every chapter and share what he learned with me. It sparked conversations that I know will stay with him for years.
For me, *32-0* offered a powerful glimpse into what it takes to excel not only in sports but in life: the highs and lows, the hard work, the mental toughness, and the relentless drive to succeed. The author's voice comes through in such a personal way, weaving together stories from the past that deliver lessons we can all apply daily, both on and off the field. One of the most touching takeaways was the importance of mentors, and how they can shape us in ways we sometimes don’t fully realize until later in life.
If you're looking to sharpen your mental game, this book is an absolute must. The stories are inspiring, the lessons are invaluable, and the impact is lasting. Highly recommend!

Must read for Fleetwood
players of any age
The book was an easy, quick read. Includes great lessons that were learned from defeat, as well as never giving up till the whistle blows. As a parent of Fleetwood players, it was great to learn about some of the history of the boys' soccer team and Coach Buss. Thanks for sharing, Jerry

Great book for parents and players
I really enjoyed reading Jerry Moyer’s book. There is a lot information for parents and soccer players. In order to win championships you have to be very disciplined and work hard. In his book Jerry explains the highs and lows of being a soccer player. As a former coach for 40 years I also enjoyed what coach said about playing his best players. Just because you are a senior doesn’t give you the right to start. As a coach you have to play your best players and if there are Freshmen better than upper classmen they must start. Parents should not get involved in telling a coach who has to start. I highly recommend Jerry’s book.

Fantastic story
Having followed Fleetwood soccer as I grew up, I couldn’t wait to get this book and hear the story from Jerry’s perspective. And it didn’t disappoint.
This story is amazing…especially knowing the small farming town of Fleetwood going up against some giant schools and fearlessly taking them down. Truly an amazing story.
I’ve known Jerry since his days at Fleetwood and had the opportunity to call him my coach in college. And even now I rely on his advice from time to time whenever doubt creeps in. This book will stay in my coaching bag at all times. Whenever doubt creeps in this will be my go to read to get refocused. Thank you Jerry!

Short, Concise read on Accountabililty, Drive and Mastering your Sport/Craft
I graduated from Fleetwood in 1987, so this was a walk down memory lane. It was a great refresher. I enjoyed hearing the player's and coaches' names and achievements once again. I loved hearing Jerry's experiences and perspective regarding the drive and accountability of that tremendous Fleetwood program. There are great lessons to be learned in this easy-to-digest read. I highly recommend this book.

A must read for any fan of soccer, especially Berks County Soccer
There are a few storied programs in Pennsylvania soccer history, and the Fleetwood Tigers are one of them that is one of the best. Anyone who is from Berks County will know of the legendary teams of Fleetwood and legendary Coach Ray Buss. Jerry does an excellent job of framing the 1980 season based on the two previous seasons, in which there is a mix of joy, sadness, and failure.
The book is refreshing to me to get behind the scenes information on how these teams were organized, and performed during the 78-80 soccer seasons.
Easy to read, and it brings the reader into the experiences that occurred. Highly recommend to any fan, especially those in Berks County so they can see what one of the top teams in the nation did during some magical seasons.
